You may be interested to know ISO shipping containers of 20ft TEUs have been identified as Temporary Shelters for Humanitarian Aid / Disaster Relief in Haiti and elsewhere there have been earthquakes and other disasters where people have lost there homes or been displaced.

This is so cool. My brother has a drawing of a home made of 3 containers. This is inspirational! While I am beginning to think more and more about smaller houses, I don't think I want a container house. @Money Reasons – Adding a basketball court would be a great idea! And in such a large building, finding space wouldn’t be a problem. Another advantage to purchasing an old “work” building!

Interesting, but definitely not for me!

I did like the post office home the previous week, but that got me thinking, if you live in a tempered area, it may cost quite a bit to heat! Still my kids would have a blast with such a large open area… I would even consider a basketball hoop
