Educating Myself with the Passive Investing Carnival

I’m honored to host this week’s Carnival of Passive Investing. This is a topic I’m not very familiar with, the closest I probably get to this type of investing is through my mutual funds, but technically dividend investing doesn’t count. So on a mission to learn as much as I can about passive investing, I’m using this carnival as my jumping off point to learn a little about how I can get started:

My Top Picks

These three articles are great starting points with varying points of entry; a look at passive investing through real estate, target date funds (something I’ve been wanting to investigate myself), and how compounding interest works (not so sure this qualifies as “passive investing” but it’s a great edu-ma-cational article for edu-ma-cating myself):

Stocks, 007 James Bonds, and Securities

Funds for Everyone

Retirement, Real Estate, and the Rest

If you’re interested in being part of the next carnival, be sure to sign up here.

Thanks for the mention! You got a good round-up here. I liked the Vanguard one since that’s what I use in my 401k. :)

Thanks so much for hosting! I’m posting the recap of this right now on the Carnival site! :)
