I'm one of the unlucky ones who doesn't get many holidays off (only the big ones - Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, and 4th of July). But...we also rarely get a day off of work for the snow. We had one this year because of the blizzard and it was downright dangerous, but it's been 7 years for the last one. Sometimes I wish I went with the federal government calendar. They seem to be off constantly.

Oh, go on about your 77 degree temps while I'm stuck in the snow-covered Northeast (which makes me wonder, what am *I* paying for?)! But I'm glad you're enjoying your 3-day weekend. I had to work today; then again, I have to work most Monday holidays.

@Susan Tiner - I'm glad to hear that your weather is also great up north. Californian's are lucky!

I have to work today :-(, but plan to do some pleasure reading later. Yesterday I had to work too, but we got away for a little while to try a Turkish restaurant for lunch in San Francisco. The weather is also beautiful up here this weekend. We are lucky!
