@Bucksome - I agree, the worst part about the '70's was the fashion. You might have noticed in my photo I was dressed in plaid with blue stockings, yikes!

@Financial Samurai- Thanks for the comment about the photo. Yes, things did seem simple then. But it's probably because as kids, your worries are different, usually not money related!

Oh my gosh, that picture is PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make tons of backups, and never ever lose it!

Hmmm... the 70's, things were so simple then, and epic movies seemed more epic. Maybe everything seemed bigger than life then when we are smaller.

The library and card catalog system was tough. TV was really a pleasure then.... how about Mr. Rogers? Ahh, good times.

Will definitely include this post in the next round up!

Best, Sam

The 70's were my middle school, high school, and college years so I remember them fondly. I love the movies you mention and disco!

The bad part of the 70's was fashion. Polyester, leisure suits, ugh!

@Rainy Day Saver - I remember the 45 records and Disco Mickey Mouse. Maybe that's why I dislike disco as well?

@Susan Tiner - You should post the photo of your son w/Susan from Sesame Street, most people have fond memories of that show (if they are old enough to remember!)
