Mainly because compared with my current 'pocket shooter', a 'made in Japan', Powershot G1X II, it felt flimsy, light-weight, and the plastic kit lens produced soft shots that were no way better than the 12Mp G1X, the fiddly little menu and info buttons got in the way when I held it properly and always put-up a menu just when I tried to take a shot, and the info and settings menu itself is awkward and convoluted compared with the Powershot.
