A couple of years ago I got inspired by my sister’s wedding to write helpful posts for newlyweds. That turned into me wanting to write a follow-up ebook, which then turned into someone “helping” me and that’s where my project stalled.
Perfection is the enemy of productivity!
Here it is a year later and after surfing through my files I’ve decided to revive the dormant project with hope that “good enough” will do for now. Just like many other helpful books, later versions can include information that was left out or not quite polished for publication.
So that’s where my project is at; my newlywed somewhat-interactive ebook is a few short weeks (hopefully) from being completed with a possible publish date of late summer/early fall. Though I’m definitely excited to get that ebook finished, it of course made me think of a few other unfinished projects in my files.
This thought process reminds me of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie book where that one action leads to quite a few more until he wants another cookie (a circular reasoning). I usually pride myself in finishing what I start, but with larger projects that are more nebulous, it’s easy to get sidetracked and the project put on hold -especially if it’s created out of my own thinking.
With that, I’ll leave you with looking forward to reviewing my ebook in the coming months.

I understand your process. It happens to me many times too. Many times if I do not finish a project on time or quickly, it stalls as well. I have a few articles started and never finished. I makes me mad.
All the best may success be yours on the book sales front
Wow, great ebook idea! I’m excited for you to launch it. I’m okay with the perfection part (in that I don’t really expect it), I just get motivated for my projects to be bigger and better and I get all excited and get carried away.. kind of like the articles that turned into an ebook 😉
Good luck with the ebook! I should work on one too, but I never have any time…
