On the third day of savings my true love gave to me..
Three custom pens..
and a gift card to JcPenney’s..
I can’t ever find a generic pen in my house when I need one. They seem to vanish into thin air. One moment I have a pile of them in my desk drawer and the next the dust bunnies have taken their vacant spot next to the stamps. However, I seem to be able to hold onto nice, custom pens. The ones I often receive as stocking stuffers are the ones I can find when the others have vanished.
Custom pens aren’t that much more expensive, mind you, than generic ballpoints, but for some reason my psyche must think they are because I tend not to lose them as often. Custom pens may seem a little tacky or trite for a gift, but they do make great stocking stuffers and are necessary office supplies. Heck, if you don’t like the idea of purchasing custom or designer pens by themselves, make it a package gift by including nice stationary or frequently used office supplies like post-it’s and stickies.
A basket of much needed office supplies are always appreciated.
Can you find a pen in your house right now? I dare ya’ to look!

We have tons of pens accumulated from conventions etc. But of course, in a pinch, they are nowhere to be found. Maybe I should head to the stash of extras in the garage.
@Barb – If I could find my extra stash, that would be a good start. 🙂 I think I just need to buy more pens.
