Property prices have soared in the City of Angels with an average year-over-year increase of 40%. It’s the housing boom all over again and I feel like I missed out….again. Crap.
The cheery headlines in the news today, such as “Hiring revs up, bit it’s mostly part-time, low-pay” and “Here’s who’s really living with mom and dad,” prompted me to write an article proposing solutions in an ever increasing part-time worker economy. Notice the tongue-and-cheek reference to “cheery.”
I read a story on the NBCNews.com website of a 123-year-old man living in Bolivia. Of course, this got me thinking, “What if I live 40+ years past the age of retirement? Could my funds stretch that far?”
So, my “thinking out of the box” mindset has lately been pondering the idea of obtaining my “dream home” through a different route:
Buying Land —–> Living in an RV ——–> Building a House
