The floor is my other sofa. I lie down and stretch out my back, do a couple of crunches, or sit criss-crossed and focus in on a conversation. These are some reasons why I still like carpet yet like to mix it up with hardwood and tile for flooring choices.

Everyone would love to say they have a cushy emergency fund or savings account they can dip into in case of an emergency. However, what people hope to do and the actual reality of the situation are sometimes on opposite ends of the spectrum.

It’s no surprise that at some point Social Security will have to be revamped. There just aren’t enough workers contributing to the already retired and soon to be retired baby boomers’ generation. So guess who gets the short end of the stick? Gen Xers through the Millenial generation and then some. And I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as the “short end” for the under 45 crowd.

Make it count. Or so says the Lexus LS commercial that oozes with a “keeping up with the Joneses” mentality. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume Lexus believes the economy is improving, enough so to engage the prime time television crowd with commercials targeting the affluent or soon-to-be affluent (or hope-to-be affluent someday).
