Similar to last year, my plan is to make gifts for colleagues, send a family gift or two to close relatives, and donate items to the needy. Last year I created Mason jar hot cocoa gifts and participated in a cookie-swap that generated a few cookie-inspired gifts.

Once the days start to draw in, the bad weather ramps up a notch and the kids are back at school, you may discover that autumn is the perfect season to have a good clear out.

Notice, I said “feeling” poor, not truly being poor. Although, even truly poor people would benefit from a budget. Lately, our friends and family members have been sharing financial information with us out of the blue.

Life can just become busy and that’s just what’s been happening around here lately. Between keeping up with finishing my credential (the second one!), teaching, and my personal life, I’ve hardly had time to post here on Little House.

The end of the year is drawing near and my quarterly goals systems has really worked quite well this year. Part of that success is due to having a steady stream of income, and part of the success is due to making my goals obtainable and very timely.
