Merry Christmas to those that are celebrating today! At a balmy 80-degrees, I can’t say it really feels like Christmas. I guess this must be what Christmas feels like Down Under during summer. We’re celebrating this holiday with friends this afternoon and made sweets and treats for both adults and kids alike. For the adults, we made a concoction of Margarita jell-o shots in the shape of holiday ornaments. If you’re interested in the recipe, check it out here. (We’ll be very clear with the children that they are NOT for them!) For the kids, I whipped up a batch of the Mrs. Claus’ cookies, a version of Cowgirl cookies from our mason jar gifts earlier this month.

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday!
Regular posts will resume later this week. 😉

I hope you had a nice Christmas, Little House! Here in suburban Chicago it was around 20 degrees with light snow. Kind of nice and fitting for the day! Of course, 80 degree weather has its positives 🙂
@Tie the Money Knot – We had a good Christmas. Though the 80-degree weather did feel a bit odd, but can’t complain. 😉
Merry Christmas! I wouldn’t mind an 80 degree Christmas at all. 🙂
Someday…
@Joe – That’s Southern California for ya. It’s always possible to get a week of 70 and 80-degree weather all through winter followed up with cooler temps. May not feel like a traditional Christmas (or at least not according to most songs hoping for a white Christmas), but I can’t complain!
I’m with Joe. An 80 degree Christmas sounds very attractive.
@Sandy – I like warm weather, so it’s a nice treat in December. But I do miss the cooler weather, especially rain! We need rain!
