With many schools starting this month, I’m giving away a FUL olive green backpack with a cable-reinforced handle – perfect for the high school or college kid on the go. I personally carry a backpack, myself, on any given day. They’re much more convenient than a purse (and I’m not really a girly-girl, either, so that works out to my advantage). Just think of all the things they hold! In my own backpack I’m usually carrying:
- Bike locks. I’m paranoid of my bike being stolen ever since my Raleigh got swiped last fall, so now I carry two locks – a U-lock and a cable lock. Both fit in the larger compartment of my backpack.
- Wallet and phone. In the smaller, front pocket I carry my personal items. Wallet, phone, Kleenex (for my constantly runny nose!), lip gloss, band-aids (just in case), etc.
- Binders, paperwork, books, etc. My larger zippered-pocket carries all the essentials to get work done.
* BACKPACK HOUSEKEEPING NOTE – Just make sure you clean out your backpack every now and then. Sometimes I find half-eaten Clifbars rolling around the bottom of a pocket or tangerines. It’s a good idea to clean out the backpack every few days or at least once a week!
ENTER NOW – give-away ends Friday, August 9th!
And now for some backpack humor…. (*Warning – once you click on the infographic, the graphic has some profanity on it.)

Do you wear or use a backpack?
