I’m not much of a shopper; I don’t like going to the mall unless I absolutely have to, I don’t think shopping is a fun activity, nor would I ever say,”Let’s window shop,” for something to do. But I am human which means I still have to buy things such as clothing, replace appliances, and the like. However, there are certain times throughout the year when items go on sale, whether it’s seasonal or holiday-sales related. Like most people, I’d prefer buying them on sale! Here’s a clever infographic that breaks down the best time to purchase items by month.

I personally scored an excellent price on a television in January (a couple of years ago – the TV we purchased still sells for $1,300 MORE than what we paid for it!) and have taken advantage of back-to-school sales in August – literally purchasing school items for pennies!

  1. I like this guide. I’m not much of a shopper either and only buy stuff when I need to replace them. I can’t plan ahead for most things. A new winter coat would be great for the kid, though.

  2. I’m always interested in these lists. But in truth, I buy nearly everything used so timing is mostly about when I find things.

Right now, I’m really stoked about my “new to me” microwave I got for $30.

It is also a good idea to check your credit reports with all three
