You love all of the festive decorations that the holiday season brings, but let’s face it, a tiny house does not leave a ton of room to add some extra seasonal sparkle. But just because space is minimal doesn’t mean that you have to skip the holly jolly decor.

Here are four easy ways that you can incorporate some holiday splendor into your home without taking up much of your already limited space:

Get a Slim Tree

A Christmas tree can take up a lot of floor space and requires you to rearrange furniture in order to maintain circulation space in your house with the tree in place. Minimize the space disruption by getting an ultra-slim pencil tree. Pencil trees are available in the same heights as regular Christmas trees, but they have a much slimmer overall profile, requiring less floor space. Another option is a half-sized Christmas tree, which can be placed right up against a wall so that they take up half of the floor space as a typical Christmas tree. As an added bonus, they also require fewer lights and ornaments, so you’ll spend less money on decorations.

Use Cards as Wall Art

During December, holiday cards make your daily trip to the mailbox all the more exciting. But you’re often left with a pile of gorgeous cards and nowhere to properly display them in the way they deserve.

Switch it up this year and use the holiday cards sent from your family and friends as part of your holiday home decor. All you need is a little bare wall space, some festive washi tape and an array of cards. Arrange the cards into a gallery wall collage so that you can enjoy an extra festive pop whenever you walk by, Gardenista recommends. Punch things up even more by adding a spray of greenery and holiday berries to the mix or framing the entire array of holiday cards with some battery-powered mini LED lights that are strung on a thin copper wire.

Don’t Skip the Kitchen

As one of the most frequented areas of the home, the kitchen needs a little holiday cheer, too. But when space is limited, you need to place decorations in out of the way spots that won’t inhibit the functionality of the space. One of the easiest ways to do this is to look up and decorate above your kitchen cabinets with a few strands of mini holiday lights to give the space a warm glow. Another idea is to get miniature wreaths and use ribbon to hang them over the cabinet doors. Simply affix a piece of tape over the ribbon on the inside of the cabinet door and dangle the ribbon over top of the door so that the mini wreath is displayed on the front side of it.

Add a Little Glow

Make your days even more merry and bright by adorning your doorways with some garland wrapped in twinkling lights. Top them with miniature Christmas ball ornaments for a little extra spirit.

Incorporate these festive decor ideas into your tiny home this holiday. You’ll quickly see that your space isn’t limiting you, your imagination is. Think outside the box and watch your place sparkle all season.
