When I think of cubbies, I think of school. You know, the mail box cubbies kids put their homework in, those cubbies. But, I also think of cubicles or small, portioned out spaces. The term cubbie can be generously applied to utilizing small spaces in a home for better efficiency.

Homeowners realize that maintaining a good paint job on the exterior of their home helps to maintain the value of their investment. However, advances in technology have made exterior paint jobs with conventional materials a thing of the past. Currently, there are a lot of available paints that are set to last for longer periods of time.

Finding a serene, peaceful plot of land is a nature-lovers dream. But building on such a site could be a challenge depending on location. I’ve given this some thought of my own; wouldn’t it be great to live in the forest?

With the tiny house movement moving ahead, Manhattan’s mayor, Michael Bloomberg, is jumping in on the action to create a building dedicated to 55 micro-unit apartments.
