Need some inspiration to make the most of a small house plan? Or, are you building your own home and need creative ideas? I came across two terrific articles on Sunset.com and Dwell.com.
Sunset.com often showcases small homes that make the most of a tiny space. They focus on real-life couples living in unusual or tiny houses and how they make the space work for them. Check out their slideshow that displays homes from cottage-style living under 700 feet to boat living. Simplicity is important when working with floor plans under 1,000 square feet and this slideshow offers solutions.
Dwell.com is full of information about home living from interior design to home design. One highlighted article is about a couple who built a beautiful, temporary home in Kauai out of 10-by-12 containers with the help of architects. The interior of their home appears much larger than the actual footprint which is created by lots of light, wood floors, and a vaulted ceiling. If I were that couple, I’d be plenty happy with the temporary structure!

Sounds like two great resources. Will definitely check it out – partially because we are considering getting a portable dishwasher and can use all the space we can get.
These look really cool. We are talking about putting on an addition so these plans will come in handy.
