There are more people in the world than ever before, but the amount of space we have to live in has not increased. More and more people are therefore having to compromise on their living arrangements by learning to live in smaller properties and making the best use of the space they have.

Sometimes, it’s better to make do with what you have. Not only do you save money, but you save time and resources. When it comes to living space, you might feel limited by the floor space, but if you look up you might find more just what you need. I’m talking about attic and loft conversions.

I ran across Method Homes a few years ago, but at that time, I don’t think they had as many prefabricated home designs to choose from. That has changed; they now have eight modular styles with varying sizes and pricing. My favorite, and how I came upon them again, is their cottage series.

I’ve written about plenty of companies that offer these types of dwellings, but one new one I came across is Kanga. Out of Texas, Kanga designs prefabricated kits for cabins, sheds, and studios.

Attempting to keep up with all the tiny and small house news, I seem to have overlooked The small House Catalog website. Six adorable small house illustrations grace their home page followed by real photographs, a sample of what you get when you purchase their very reasonably priced plans, an FAQ page and complementary blog.
